I vini di Pusterla

Our wines

Our wines are born on the hills of Castell’Arquato, from the grapes we grow with patience and respect. Find the right wine for you, our grapes produce wines suitable for many different occasions!

Val d’Arda hills have the most suitable soil rich in clay for wine in the Piacenza’s province and here we decided to cultivate traditional vines: Barbera and Bonarda for the Gutturnio, Ortrugo and aromatic Malvasia for Monterosso and our other white wines. Some international vines allow us to complete the wines range that we can propose for you. We invite you to discover them on the site and come and visit us to taste and buy them in the cellar.

White wines

The autochthonous grape varieties of Piacenza are the aromatic Malvasia of Candia and Ortrugo. We produce them in sparkling purity according to tradition, but they are also in the blend of the most typical wine of our valley, the Monterosso Val d’Arda a blend of white grape vines that can be done in a very limited part of the province.

We add to our white range two wines from internationally appreciated vines, the Chardonnay we offer both in sparkling and still version and the Sauvignon Blanc. Finally, a Brut of Pinot Noir with a small part of Chardonnay which is great for aperitifs and evenings in company.

Red wines

The most typical red wine in the territory of Piacenza is Gutturnio, produced through a grapes blend of Barbera and Bonarda (Croatina) in different ways, from traditional fizzy Gutturnio on sale already a few months after the harvest, to still Gutturnio until the reserves, more structured wines which taste really good with important meat plates.

From the same grapes two fizzy wines grow up which match well with Piacenza cuisine, but in general with North Italy one: lively Barbera and fizzy Bonarda.

From international wines we propose Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, both still and with one year aging in barrique.
